    Thats a good amount of calories. try running 5 days a week for 20-25 mins. To make sure your getting all your nutrients, take a multivitamin, like flinstones! (yes, even if your 21) and drink atleast 4-5 bottles of water a day. Acquire a taste to green tea and have 2 cups in the morning and 2 at night. The tea bags from lipton are great that come in a box. Best of luck and keep up the good work :)

    ps. Try the Turbo Jam dvds, the 5 workout set. Their great, and a great variety from abs to cardio to sculpting!

    Successful weight loss is dependent upon activity as well as proper nutrition. You need to look at what you are eating, and make sure you are eating enough. At least 2000 calories a day for you of proper real food, mainly low GI carbs, plenty of fruit and vegetables and adequate protein. If you drink beer or sodas, you have to stop! To lose a pound a week you need to create a daily deficit of 500 calories. One to two pounds per week should be your aim. I would suggest that you start to walk and not run so much, because you may be in the wrong heart rate training zone. 220 less your age is your predicted maximum heart rate. Calculate 65 to 75% of your max heart rate and stay in that zone for 40 minutes, 3 to 4 times a week. You just might be trying too hard, and actually overdoing it by burning the wrong fuel! You need to have a few total rest days. Medications can also affect weight loss. Relax a bit, it took time for those 40 lbs to accumulate and they're not all going to dissolve in a few months. Go visit a fitness centre if you can, they should be able to help you. They will have equipment to measure your heart rate zones.

    I believe if you don't want /have to time to start with exercise immediately, than I would begin with eating alot of fruit and vegetables and drinking lots of water..just having a glass of water sitting by you at alltimes, you will be amazed at how often you reach for it and just sip on it. Still enjoy the meals you like say for lunch or supper and make the other two meals and snacks loaded with fruit and vegetables. I personally take a multi vitamin, drink lots of water and drink alot of green tea od various sorts green tea is very healthly and if you check it out can help with weight loss as well i have added a link below that may be of interest to you.

    Sounds like you have the right idea–between eating sensibly, walking, and breatfeeding, that should take care of the baby weight. It's important not to diet while you are breastfeeding, because your body needs the extra calories to produce an adequate milk supply.

    If you want something simple, you just follow these rules:
    1. Eat lots and lots of vegetables and fruits
    2. Eat less carbs, cholesterol, fat and oily meals.
    3. Exercise regularly

    You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

    You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight. Low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt, known as a dieting plateau. You can never get slim by starving yourself. A healthy weight loss program is one, which does not make you lose weight in such a manner that your health is spoiled. Starvation is not a worthy way to lose weight because most people will fail to abide to the program rules after a certain period.
